The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you have used MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That will make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
The execution is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the part that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of your assessment.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off makes sense depends on you.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
